We're Alive

All is well, we have almost everything out of boxes, now everything needs a spot :)
I'll be posting pictures as we get rooms finished so stay tuned.
But now I have to go and enjoy a drink on the back deck, before Ant heads out to work for 5 days :(

It's a Start

Ok I maybe should have thought a little harder about the best time to start this goal of mine....

Yes Jen, it is the perfect time to add a little more.
You're already busy packing and keeping life here above water
lets add being creative to that shall we.
and damn it Jen do it well,
people will be reading....
ha haI never promised quality...
that will be my next goal :0)

So now that the pressure is off, our house is torn apart. We are in the final stretch where we are doing the last of things. Last night was the last night of gymnastics, tomorrow will be the last day of school and Ant will leave for work for the last time from this house. I have to say I am so relived to be moving into bigger house. This house was small.... for us. It is really cute, and maybe if there was a walk out to the backyard or the kitchen was setup differently I wouldn't have noticed how small it was. I can't tell you how many times I ran into the kitchen chairs ouch....

things that I loved about living here

  1. the kids school is partial french immersion, so their lessons were taught in french every other day.
  2. gymnastics for the kids, they all loved it
  3. watching the kids in swimming and ski lessons
  4. living in a city, it was really nice to be able to run out and get something we forgot for dinner and it not take half an hour
  5. how much my bambinos have grown and changed
  6. a time to reflect on what I want to do next (and I'm so excited people!!!!!)
  7. finally being able to solve our sock basket problem (I threw them out mahaha)
  8. the red fence (I'll write a picture post of that one soon)
I will update this as things come to mind, but for now there is an empty box calling my name.

House and Home

Dear Home,

I am so glad that you are in my heart, it makes moving a little easier.

Love Jen

Dear house,

You we must leave, I have had fun here fixing you up. You were quite sick when we first set eyes on you and to tell you the truth I had eyes for another house..... a farm.... a great open space, but you came to us and fit perfectly. As we tore out all that made you smell over the years we made you glow and now I am proud to call you home. (at some point will show you off, with some before and after pictures). We brought all our babies home to you, so much excitement, so much joy. The bambinos room is still my favorite room in the house. What a great outdoor space we have had here, a large yard and with the deck we added last year I spend my summers enjoying you to the max. You are perfectly situated in a village with a great school. I am sad when I think of another family moving into this life, of bonfires and walks on the trails. They will wake up in the mornings and watch the great tree just outside the bedroom transform through the seasons.
As we move on from here, I must say I'm glad it was you dear house even though at first I wasn't sure.
Thank you so much, but now I live in someone else's home, they will come in here and make you their own. I hope they love it here!

Love always,
Jen

Moving

I have started this post over and over again, but this time I'm hitting publish before I walk away form the computer. So if there are lots of spelling mistakes Ella woke up form her nap and I hit publish and walked away.....

We are moving, like in less then 30 days from now.
We are moving closer to Ant's work. Him driving over three hours to work is just crazy and I'm not working here in the area anymore.
I have cried, I have been excited, but my head is spinning and I don't know what direction I'm headed in.
The kids are doing OK as long as we promise that all their toys are going with them.

Home Again

Well we're here!
Our move started out really well, I mean Ant didn't get called into work, loading up the trailer was done and ready to go before we went to bed and the kids were EASY going all day. That's were the fun began.
Things every move should include......
  1. waking up an hour earlier then the alarm to a screaming boy
  2. being thrown up on by a screaming boy
  3. realizing gas was turned off the day before, leaving you with no hot water
  4. bathing a boy and self in kettle boiled water in the kitchen sink at 5 in the morning
  5. stepping in dog pee
  6. cleaning up dog pee
  7. driving 15 hrs in one day, with 2 toddlers, 2 dogs, a cat and 2 on edge parents
  8. forgetting diaper changes need to be increased with added juice consumption
  9. girl getting croup
Now if all that sounded fun. I spent the first night home at the hospital, poor baby girl couldn't breath and our water pump was broken/ scratch that is broken. Right now there are two big holes in the front yard from Ant trying to find the well. This image makes me giggle every time.

So am I glad to be home YEP! The dogs have a great big back yard to play in. The Bambinos love playing out side and getting to see everyone again. I am back in MY big comfy bed. And I will get to shower eventually.

The kids enjoying the back yard.....
