6 Months

Dear Ella,

This month has seem so many firsts. You are killing me here. I think my heart might just be torn out with all the changes going on.

First of all lets talk about you refusal to roll over. It stems from the fact that this is a busy house and no one in there right mind puts a tiny little baby on the floor with two bambinos, two dogs and a cat all running around at top speed. So your time on the floor was limited to when I could sit and protect you. If you take all that movement into consideration then you know that was never. So here we are at 6 months and you WILL not lay on your stomach for any longer then a minute with out screaming and I don't have the heart to leave you wailing on the floor. I keep joking that at 4 you will be playing with a group of friends and be all "rolling over what a great idea, Mom why didn't you show me this before".

Now enough about what you're not doing, all your other 6 month mile stones were reached at about 4 months. You are now stable enough to sit on your own. You play with toys and put your soother back in your mouth. You enjoy a good rip and read, kind of a speed reading thing where you try to read everything before you rip it into itty bitty pieces.

You and your toes are the best of friends and your favorite place to play with them is in the tub. Water bottles have you mesmerized, and can bring you out of a crying fit.

We've moved on from.... you can more correctly read that as "I" finally let go of. TheCheck Spellingbassinet up until this week you slept comfortably all through the night in it, but I think now you are coming to the weight limit and you are almost too long. So instead stunting your growth, which I can't do anyways as it turns out, we said good bye. We also put away the swing, it was really great for your naps. It kept you sleeping just a little longer.

I will touch on sleep.... you rock! I remember being a little jealous of another little beauty and her sleeping habits and well sweet child of mine what can I say. You nap well and at night you sleep through 99% of the time and then to top it off you wake with a smile on your face. Enough said.

We started solid food and let me tell you, you are not impressed that it didn't come in a bottle. It took some time, but you have now adjusted to rice cereal and we have added banana's and apples. I'm making baby food this time and I'm so sorry you will have to put up with my cooking at such a young age, but ask your Daddy, he'll tell you that you learn not to complain.

My dear Ella Bella, you have completed this family perfectly. I am over whelmed, by the family your Daddy and I have been blessed with. I LOVE YOU!

Oh my word.. where does time go, seriously, 6 months already! Don't worry Ella I will come and show mommy how to make baby food and if you stick to the basics it's not so bad (maybe I'll even sneak a little chocolate in there, but don't tell hehe)
Little side note.. still waiting to see some Florida pics:)

Can't wait to see you guys in a couple weeks!
