We love you all

I wanted to put up a family Picture, but we don't really have one :(
I think we should work on that.

Two types of days

I have two types of days in my life right now. I have days with Ant and days with out. Today happens to be one without, and so far I've gotten lost in it. Lost in a day for me is when it swallows me hole and keeps showing me how if I were a little more organized or spent just that little bit more energy I might "might" catch up to it. So as you can see, I through the towel at it and came and sat down at the computer. HA take that day! I'll get back to you later.

Friday September 19 2008

How lucky we were this year that Ant was home. This made for a great day for everyone. It started out with a nice relaxing breakfast out....... if you ignored the jumping on the seats, climbing on /under the table and the peek-a-games forced on the table behind us. As I said relaxing. We also decided to check out the playtrium in Kingston which is an indoor playground. As we drove into the parking lot a huge sign jumped out at us it read "You Suck Ethan Needs A Real Hair Cut" Deciding this might be a sign, Ethan got his first real hair cut(you can't really count our butcher job). Ethan picked to fly an airplane and did really well till he freaked out that the lady was touching his ears. With that under our belt we headed over to the indoor playground, we had a blast and so did the kids. I'm so going to be on a first name basis with all the staff by the end of the winter.
I only got a couple of pictures, the batteries died on the camera, but I think the few that I did get were really cute.

We ended the trip with a chocolate milk shake and a nap on the drive home.
Auntie Nikki and Mr Chris came over for dinner and we ended the night with an extra viewing of Cars.

Happy Birthday Bambinos!

Play Group

There Birthday weekend was fun and I'll get back to that when I go through all the pictures.

Today we finally got to a play group. It's been way to long since we've been to one. I chickened out of the ones in Thunder Bay after feeling frustrated, helping one in the sand box while the other was throwing things on the other side of the room. So rather then feeling over whelmed I just gave us a break and what a difference time makes. They both played on their own and with some of the other kids there. The ages of the kids there seemed to be all older or much younger then the Bambinos, but once they weren't so over whelmed they joined in.

Things that I was not aware of, diaper are not aloud to be left there in the garbage you have to take them home...... so um maybe I should have taken more then just my purse......... I really need to make sure there is no Kleenex left in any of my pockets before I do the laundry...... and if one sneaks into the wash and breaks up into tiny little bits and covers every other item of clothing to check my left shoulder before I leave the house because I may have miss some..... my children are not satisfied playing for two hours and feel the need to tell me by laying on the ground and refusing to move that the park is just down the road and it would be a good idea right now because they need to burn off more energy....... because really a gym full of toys and other children is just a warm up..... But I have will power...... well not really I need something to do with them after they get up from their nap and I am not in the mood for another viewing of Cars..... the movie I think I've seen 3 times already this week and it's only Tuesday.
I believe I hear someone bouncing in bed up stairs I hope you all have a great day and if a Kleenex got left in your laundry check your shoulders before you leave the house :)

I think she missed it

I was cleaning out the front closet to see what we would need for this winter...... ok, it was to clean the dust bunnies the size of, well bunnies, out of the far corners. I decided while I was at it I would organize everyones stuff into piles. As soon as I pulled out the scarf Ava made a bee line for it. Do you think maybe she missed it!

The video's I promised

Ready..... Set.......Go......

Another day at the park and I managed to get all three of us in one spot while I took a couple of pictures. How you might be wondering..........
..........A "digger" Ethan wasn't looking at the camera for any of the pictures, but he was in them and that was good enough for me. I was able to take four before someone took off :)

DIRT

Ouch yesterdays post was a sorry site. So today lets talk dirt..... as you all know we are landscaping and if your tired of hearing about it well I don't blame you. I am tired of doing, but it is looking so good. Ethan is in his glory however. He loves DIRT! He shovels it, rakes it, sweeps it and the greatest of all he rolls in it. I tried so hard to get a good picture of his dirt unibrow. We were rolling in laughter he looked so serious.

Bits and Pieces

I've got the cutest videos of Ava and Ethan going down the slide, I haven't had a chance to down load them to my computer yet because it is full. So I have to find some time to clear it out. I think I take too many pictures, Ant would agree with that statement I got a dirty look taking pictures of the kids at dinner tonight, but really I'm glad that this is my addiction it could be worse right?
So I will post the videos as soon as I can, I'm hoping for tomorrow.

I'm having so much fun getting the bambinos ready for their Birthday. I've taught them how to answer "How old are you?" and most of the time I get "tewe" as the answer, but on occasion there is "tee" I think they just like the number three more.

Ava is in love with counting, she counts to 10 in English and 5 in Spanish (see TV is good for something). She counts everything stairs, fingers, air molecules(well I'm not really sure it's that, but she's pointing into mid air) and anything else she sees. I keep trying to get her on tape, but alas she avoids the camera, maybe she feels the same way as Ant about my photography obsession.

Ok I don't really want to jinx anything here, but what a great day. Only one time-out and a couple of warnings, but no major tantrums(even at nap time). Love days like these:)

On a Tim note after looking it up on the internet, I think he had a seizure. I think it happened to him one other time about a year ago, but he was inside so he didn't try to move right away. I wanted to keep him in site in case it happened again. Poor dog I had to stop Ethan from chasing him around all evening. He is totally back to normal now so I feel a little better. I think I'll call the vet in the morning to see what they have to say about it though.

Totally Freaked

Tim (my dog) totally freaked me out! We were just sitting out back, he was sitting beside me then all of a sudden he's front legs started to give out on him then his hind legs. His whole body stiffened up and he just lay there on the ground. After a min or two he seemed to gain some control back and waddled out into the yard unable to walk strait. Making it sideways to the middle of the yard and collapsed. I followed him and rubbed his belly to keep him relaxed. He stayed disoriented for then next 10 minutes or so and now he seems fine. I feel so helpless when things happen to the dogs.

Baking Cookies

Well I've watched beautiful commercials of Mom's baking with their children. They are all smiling, everyone is helping and to top it off what comes out of the oven looks like perfection.
So today when we woke up to a rainy day, Ant heading off to work and Auntie Nikki feeling too under the weather to come over and play I needed something to do. So obviously baking popped into my head, and the plan was put into action. First we needed ingredients (I'm not well stocked(because, well I don't bake)). A trip to wal.mart was the best choice seeing as there were a couple of other items I needed as well. I'm guessing the commercials leave out everyone shopping together for a reason. With all our ingredients gathered in the trunk we headed home. During nap time I got everything set out and ready......
With a chair pulled up on either side of me and a toddler in each one we began. All went really smoothly. Only a spoonful of sugar ending up on the floor.

However there were a few tears when Ava found out the chocolate ship bag did not have cookies in it. The packaging is very misleading to a 2 year old(see the ingredients pictures), I think she will be sending in a complaint. She also felt cheated that there was a baking stage to making cookies and once all the ingredients were put together it was just sticky dough. After a hug to cheer her up we sat and watched our cookies backing through the oven window they got rave reviews once they had cooled.
Yum Yum..........

Welcome Lexi

Lexi (Mel's Baby) seems so tiny to me, but then I'm comparing her to my Bambinos who are huge 2 years olds (well almost I'm just preparing my brain so it can wrap itself around the idea). Then looking at the pictures I took of her it was clear she is not so tiny, but boy is she beautiful. And what a great baby, we went out for breakfast and she didn't climb all over the seats or throw milkers across the table at her sister. She totally showed up the Bambinos, she just chilled in her car seat looking totally cute.

Labor Day Weekend

My internet has been down over the last week. I've felt so out of the loop, no cable or internet what's a girl to do?

We headed to Southern Ontario for a great long weekend. Saturday after we spent the day in the car (long story and really boring so I'll spare you) we made it to my Dads 60th birthday party. We found out that the bambinos love a live band. Ethan had a grin from ear to ear and they both danced the evening away.
Since we were in the area we had to make a visit to my friend Mel's. We took the kids to the zoo for the first time. It was the Brantford zoo so not to big or busy perfect for our little group . Our first stop was goats which we were aloud to pet and feed. First the goat (lets call him Steve) thought that a nice light snack of shorts would be good.......
Then Steve not finding the shorts satisfactory proceeded to sample Ethan's shirt sending him into a panic (he really likes his shirts).
After about 5 mins of being in the petting zoo Ava became aware of the goats around her. This didn't bode well for her noticing the animals in cages not eating her shorts.

The only other animals Ava payed any attention to were the bunnies, and even then there was a really interesting lock on their cage.

After his run in with Steve Ethan made a deal with the reindeer. He would only feed her grain if she stayed away from his shirt.
Ava enjoyed the zoo even if she would not look at any of the animals, a nice walk and some play equipment made it a worth while trip.

I hope you all had a great labor day!
